Dr. Jennifer Walden is a well-established plastic surgeon in Austin Texas. She graduated from University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She moved to New York City to complete her aesthetic surgery fellowship at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. She had built a successful practice in New York City for eight years before moving back to her hometown to continue her work. Jennifer Walden also is the co-author of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Jennifer Walden focuses her practice in cosmetic surgery which includes breast augmentations, face-lifts, eyelid lifts and rhinoplasties (nose jobs). She performs liposuction to the abdomen, inner thighs, and arms. She also performs minimally invasive procedures such as Botox and soft-tissue fillers.
Dr. Jennifer Walden worked hard and prove herself to become the successful plastic surgeon she is today in a male dominant industry. It is a rarity for women to become a plastic surgeon in this country. There are only a few female plastic surgeons in the country; out of the 8,100 plastic surgeons in the United States, only 851 are women, with only a dozen that live in Texas.
It has always been Dr. Walden’s passion to help other women feel better about themselves after she helps her friend she grew up with. She feels that being a woman helps other women feel more comfortable with describing what they want. She believes that the women that come to her feel more at ease because they do not have to look like the Barbie-doll stereotype that most males view women should be.
