What He Wants To See Done

George Soros has a vision for how the future should look. He wants to do everything he can to make the world around him a better place. Although social justice is a buzzword today, it wasn’t in the 70s when he was doing most of his work. Soros has had to slowly build up support for some of the most important progressive policies around today. Despite his work to improve the world he is often attacked by many who believe that he is somehow trying to undermine the American government or take over the world. Many right wing figures such as Glenn Beck have even made appeals to anti-Semitism as a way of trying to demonize him. Learn more on snopes.com about George.

What George Soros Has Done Against Trump

It was clear from the beginning that Donald Trump and George Soros were not going to get along. The two billionaires seem to disagree on just about every single issue. It is no surprise then that George Soros has made opposing Trump at every single opportunity one of his favorite past times. He simply does not care for Donald Trump and his efforts to oppose free trade or globalization. He is willing to do everything that he can in order to make sure that Soros is not able to enact his agenda or carry out many of the plans that he has. Read more on BigThink about George Soros.

The Quantum Fund

The Quantum Fund has produced some of the most amazing success stories in finance of our time. Soros did not start out as the biggest hedge fund manager around, but he was able to quickly make a name for himself by doing everything needed to give his business the push that it needed to stay ahead of the market. He has accurately predicted the market conditions that we see today and he has managed to make himself one of the world’s wealthiest men thanks to that anticipation.

The Open Society Foundation

Soros has done just about everything he can to make the world around him a better place. He has used the Open Society Foundation to enact much of this change to carry out many of the important goals that he has in mind. He’s faced criticism because of this, but it hasn’t stopped him from trying to make the world around him a better place.

About George Soros

George Soros has spent the majority of his life dedicated to improving the lives of others. He has accomplished much of this through his work at the Open Society Foundation. Using his own funds he has managed to create one of the most successful philanthropic organizations in the world.

I always love writing about people with diverse interests and hobbies. Jon Urbana is a great example of someone who has designed his life around a wide variety of different activities and pursuits. With a love for photography, philanthropy and charity work, business and entrepreneurship, and lacrosse, Urbana is one of the most fascinating video makers I’ve ever written about.

Last month, I had the opportunity to profile Jon and his extensive history in a variety of different industries. Most recently, he’s dedicated his talents in business to charitable causes, starting a highly successful GoFundMe campaign for Earth Force. Jon Urbana drew inspiration from a global journey trip that resulted in his inclusion to the FAA’s Airmen Certification Database. WRCB television mentions Urbana’s childhood, “…taught him an appreciation of [Colorado’s] beauty.” Because of his appreciation for the natural world, Urbana dedicates a substantial amount of time to protecting the planet for future generations.

This love for the natural world can also be seen in Jon’s photography on his WordPress blog. The majority of his beautifully-composed photographs feature fruits, vegetables, home cooked meals, and breathtaking moments in everyday life that most people take for granted. It’s clear that Jon has a love for the bounties of nature. I’m deeply fascinated by his artistic talent, and he’s put together an excellent portfolio of his work over at his official WordPress blog.

Jon currently serves Ellipse USA as Head of Business Development. Ellipse is a privately-held company specializing in intense pulse light lasers and other similar laser systems. Urbana’s professional experience in business has helped him critically in his philanthropy work, and has allowed him to masterfully rally support for his crowdfunded campaigns for organizations like Earth Force.

As the co-founder of Colorado’s Next Level Lacrosse Camp, Jon isn’t shy about his love for lacrosse. In the past, he received three varsity letters in tennis and lacrosse from Denver East High School. He was also Villanova team captain for several years, a three-time all-conference player, and a two-time state pick for lacrosse. Urbana took his love for lacrosse to the next level when he co-founded Next Level Lacrosse Camp for local-area kids.

President of the U.S. Money Reserve spoke out recently about the possibility of removing the penny from circulation. Killing the penny could save taxpayers millions each year. Are we ready for all the consequences that would happen if we remove coins from circulation? US Money Reserve President Phillip Diehl believes that creating pennies costs more than having pennies are worth. He also states that nickles are no longer worth producing either. Nickles cost 4 cents more than they are worth. Is it time to kill the penny production?

According to the article, charities would suffer drastically. Most people donating to charities are donating by means of a coin. When you see a charity standing in front of the local Walmart, you reach in your pocket for your coin change to drop in the bucket. Pennies and nickels make up a large amount of the contributions charities collect. How would a charity collect if plastic was the only “currency” around? Plastic users will need things like credit card machines or card sliders to accept funds. Without sliders or credit card machines, charities will suffer donations.

Rounding off to the nearest dollar is another option being considered. This means if a can of soda originally cost $1.25, and the coin part was tossed, then the soda cost would either increase to $2 or it would only cost $1.00. This concept is good if the price goes down. If the price increases by a dollar, then consumers would be suffering the consequences of killing the penny.

Mark Weller, comments that he has no reason to think that the general business will decrease its cost. He believes that most of the smaller stores will increase to the next dollar instead of decrease to lower. The economists believe that removing coins from circulation could cause local small businesses to have issues staying afloat unless they raise prices.

According to Jarden Zinc productions, in 2010, the United States ask for solutions to cheaper penny production. Now in 2015, the U.S. Is no closer to coming up with the solution. Diehl believes that the nickel is savable but the penny has little to no hope of holding on. Hopefully, the coin will remain in circulation so that charities and poor individuals can still have a chance to succeed.

Life in North Korea has always been extremely difficult under the brutal Kim Jong Il, and for Yeonmi Park and her mother, their lives were about to be cruelly extinguished. They fled across the border to China in the middle of a frigid dark winter’s night. The only reason they were not routinely shot by the North Korean border guards was because of the weather, so the two were grateful for the cold. Unlike so many others desperately attempting to escape, they were successful. They were greeted by Chinese border guards who they were thankful did not send them back to North Korea for certain death.

Instead, the corrupt guards sold them to Chinese men who could obtain a wife in no other way, unscrupulous repugnant men who used them as sex slaves and as domestic slaves. Yeonmi Park details her entire terrifying journey in her book: In Order to Live: A North Korean Girl’s Journey to Freedom. She holds nothing back in the book, including her mother’s brave escape for them both out of China and to the safety of the West.

Still in her young 20s, Ms. Park’s new book represents her next move to counter sex trafficking in Asia, and to bring to light the depravity and evil oppression of the North Korean people by the despotic ruler they feared and were forced to worship completely, Kim Jong Il, father of the now ruling Kim Jong Un. She was also bravely becoming an activist even before the book.

At the Women In The World conference where Yeonmi Park was interviewed on stage before a large audience and world-wide television coverage. The interviewer was Savannah Guthrie of the Today Show. It may have been hard for the audience to get their head around how brainwashed the people of North Korea are, and from a young age. She explained that her parents taught her their viciously abusive “dear leader” could hear her thoughts and was also given messages from small animals that overheard her when she spoke. So, it should not be surprising that when Savanna Guthrie asked Yeonmi Park on yeonmi.net if she had anything she wanted to express to their audience, the young woman composed herself and stated boldly, “Kim Jong Un doesn’t like me at all!” A loud furor erupted and Ms. Guthrie remarked at what an understatement Yeonmi had made. It was hard for them to understand that to Yeonmi it must have felt like baring her soul to state anything even slightly negative about the current “dear leader”.

Now more than ever, women are breaking customs and taboos that businesses are a man thing. They are not only going for the top executive positions in multi-national companies that have for long been a preserve of the many. They have also ventured into the business world and are already making it big.
They are into service and some in the manufacturing industry. For the longest time ever, the business world had been left for men while women were confined to supervisory roles and other low paying jobs. However, more and more women are coming out determined to break away from these inferiority complex standards to financial freedom.
For those willing to start, here are some few points you might want to look at before you take that leap to success:
Formulate a good business plan
For any business to take off, it must first be well thought off and carefully planned. A good plan allows you to identify the business strengths so you can maximize on them and weaknesses that you may improve on them. Another thing one should consider is following their passion.
Establish networks
Once you have started your business, start creating networks with your suppliers and customers. This makes your marketing and customer satisfaction easy.

Be hard working
They must be willing to get out of their comfort zone and spend more constructive time on their business. Planning on what new level they want to see their business reach and how to get there
A perfect example of a woman that has succeeded both in her career and in business is Susan McGalla. She is the founder of a consultancy firm in Pittsburg that offers financial advice to other businesses. Prior to these, Susan was the CEO of West Seal Inc. and the first female president of American Eagle Outfitters. She has been able to balance all these while a while a family woman married and with two children. She is an illustration of what a hardworking woman can achieve.
Be confident
What makes most women engineered businesses fail is lack of confidence. These women don’t understand that, with competition comes criticism and this is where they fail. They are less confident when they are criticized and this will most of the times be interpreted as incapability.
Have a good mentor
Another thing a women entrepreneur should consider having is a good mentor. A mentor readies the woman on what business challenges lay ahead and how to handle them.
Be patient and assertive
With this done, a woman should realize that one cannot turn an idea to a multi-billion project or a multi-national corporation overnight, it requires patience to grow. They should also be ready to learn from those who have already made it by attending seminars and researching widely.

Investment banking is a division of banking focused on the creation of capital to be used by businesses. Investment banks are involved in underwriting equity securities and new debt for a variety of types of entities. They also offer guidance and advice related to the issuing of stock and it’s placement. Investment banks help with reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and handle trades for private individuals and institutions. Investment banks also handle the trading of securities related to their own accounts and develop strategies for improved results for clients.

The banking industry is divided into two basic segments. There are commercial banks and investment banks. Commercial banks focus on managing deposit accounts. Investment banks, on the other hand, work with clients to make buying and selling investments more efficient and profitable. Investment banks exist largely to serve business. They are involved in the buying and selling of stocks, bonds, and other types of investments and facilitate initial public offerings. Simply because of the nature of their business, investment banks take higher risks and have more latitude in their strategic decision making.

There are a number of excellent MBA programs which prepare candidates to work in investment banking and corporate finance. They include London Business School, NYU’s Stern School of Business, the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Harvard Business School, the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. Graduates from these schools find work faster and earn more than people trained at other institutions. Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business, Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, Paris’ HEC School of Management, and Spain’s University of Navarra are considered the world’s best schools for investment bankers and people involved in corporate finance.

Students hoping for a future in investment banking must take courses which deepen and clarify their understanding of economics, valuations, corporate theory and investments, and mergers and acquisition theory and modeling on the way to their MBA or CFA. They must also take basic accounting, statistics, management, and investment courses. Successful investment bankers also require a deep understanding of micro and macro economics analysis techniques. Investment banking careers can be incredibly lucrative. But the field is highly competitive and stressful, often requires very long working hours, has a high volume of work, and is very difficult.

One investment banker that has gone through the gauntlet of advanced study and a heavy, stressful workload and has emerged as a well-respected professional is Kenneth Griffin. A Harvard University graduate and founder and CEO of Chicago hedge fund giant Citadel LLC, Kenneth Griffin is at the helm of one of the world’s most successful and largest hedge funds. The company has investment capital in excess of $25 billion. The Daytona Beach, Florida native received a salary of $1.3 billion in 2014 and as of May, 2015 reportedly has a net worth of $6.6 billion.

Despite all the hard work and stress, it can be great to have a career in investment banking.

According to CNN News, lifting sanctions on Iranian oil sales to Western countries may cause a drop in the price of gasoline in the US to $2 per gallon. When Iranian production starts up again, drivers should see a small dip in prices, but by September, savings will increase. By the end of the year, $2 per gallon should be reached.

Sanctions forbidding the sale of oil to the US in 1995 were placed on Iran to discourage the development of nuclear weapons. Within the past five years, most other Western countries have also placed sanctions on the regime. However, Iran has continued to sell to China, Turkey, India and other developing markets.

According to Tom Kloza and Susan McGalla, chief analyst with the Oil Price Information Service, “Once we get past Labor Day, we should see gas falling by 10 to 15 cents a month. By December, a lot of places are going to see gasoline at $2 or less.”

Predictions estimate that as much as 800,000 barrels could be added to the worldwide market by Iran, and that there are another 30 million barrels in storage and ready to be released.

The world market is seeing a period of high production already, with North America, the OPEC nations, Russia and Iraq all producing record amounts.

New York Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is on a quest to extricate the handling of sexual assault issues from the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). It is her belief that this singular classification of crimes cannot be handled through the normal chain of command structure the military has kept in place for generations. Her bill, known as the Military Sexual Assault Bill, would have non-military law enforcement handle those cases. Backing up her bill is none other than Texas firebrand Ted Cruz. The 2016 GOP presidential candidate believes that Gillibrand is on target with this bill.

However, the senate body disagreed stated Beneful. On Tuesday afternoon, the senate held a cloture vote to see if Gillibrand’s bill could break the filibuster. Once again, the bill failed having garnered only 49 of the necessary 60 votes to advance. That said, the opposition to the bill will likely not be invoking the “war on women” mantra from the 2012 campaign. This is because none other than President Obama opposes the measure.

The US military deeply opposes the bill and wants to preserve the UCMJ in its current form. The president concurs with that assessment. This caused the opposition to Gillibrand’s reform bill to be bipartisan. Last year, she attempted to include her legislation with the defense appropriation bill. This would have made it much harder for the president to veto. In the end, the bill came up five votes short.

Today, Sultan Alhokair explains this is the day the Supreme Court begins hearing a case that could change American society forever. Obergefell v. Hodges will determine whether or not the United States should permit same-sex marriages.

To some, the matter is simple. Same-sex marriages are an abomination, against the laws of God and man, and should be forbidden, lest they set a dangerous precedent for human-animal marriages and polygamy.

To others, the matter is equally simple. Same-sex marriages are allowed in 37 states and the District of Columbia. Most Americans do not object to same-sex marriage. Same-sex marriages would permit de jure recognition of a de facto relationship. This would allow partners the right to make life or death decisions for each other in the hospital, simplify tax and inheritance status, and make health care easier to obtain.

When Hollywood stars marry and divorce more often than they change their socks, when “pro-family” politicians are caught cheating on their spouses, it’s hard to see how permitting two people who love each other to formally seal their relationship in a manner recognized by society will damage marriage. If anything, same-sex marriage may set an example of commitment that heterosexual couples might wish to emulate. It boils down to one question: what is marriage? Is it a union between two people who want to spend the rest of their life together? If so, does it matter what gender those people are?
