The Recent Accomplishments of End Citizens United

The End Citizens United which is a national political committee has named Sheldon Whitehouse, the USA Senate as a campaign finance reform champion. The organization has endorsed him also for the re-elections to be conducted in 2018. End Citizens United has been playing an important role when it comes to the politician’s campaign that normally rules against the decisions that have been made by the Citizens United of the Supreme Court. The organization has also improved the ability of other corporations when it comes to making contributions concerning political matters. Sheldon Whitehouse was against the decision and he also has a history of asking for more precisions in expenditure and donations that are based politically.

In 2017, Mr. Whitehouse published a book that was titled Captured meaning The Corporate Infiltration of American Democracy. Neil Gorsuch who is the Justice of the Supreme Court was a while ago questioned by Sheldon Whitehouse about the Millions used up in the support of his election nomination. Due to this, there was the criticism of Whitehouse by certain Republicans like John Loughlin who is a former State representative. This was as a result of showing a blind eye towards the mystery money termed as the dark money used in benefiting the Democratic campaigns. According to the End Citizens United, over $4,000,000 was contributed within a very short time.

The End Citizens United has in the past developed projects which are expected to raise more than $35 million prior to the 2018 Congress elections. This is considered an improvement when compared to the $25 million which was acquired in the election period of 2016. The Executive Director and President of the PAC, Tiffany Muller said that of the 100,000 individuals who contributed during the first 3 months, it was the first time ever for approximately 40,000 individuals. Tiffany further stated that their main mission is to appoint champions who are reformed to Congress financially. The committee has recently urged its donors to raise $500,000 towards the congress campaign of a new political aspirant based in Georgia named as Jon Ossoff.

Jon Ossoff has managed to amaze the End Citizens United by contributing approximately $4 million towards the April elections in order to get the position of the Secretary in the department of Human and Health Services based in the suburban Atlanta. In the past, Tiffany Muller served as the Senate’s deputy political director. End Citizens United opens its doors for contributions from unions and corporations for candidate elections. It has also led to the launch of exemplary PACs that consume and raise money that is unlimited. End Citizens United serves as a traditional group that does not normally accept donations greater than $5,000 from one donor.
