Last year I planted bulbs for the first time. Now, not being known for my green thumb when it comes to flowers, I awaited them with fingers crossed and high expectations. After all, I just had to put them in soil and water them occasionally, can’t get much more foolproof than that, surely!
The less intervention by my good self, the better the survival chances…that seems to be the rule when it comes to flowers. (Once I was admiring some at the garden center, only to find myself being led away by the arm with the words “Let it live” ringing in my ears.)
